"While rummaging through a vintage clothing store, I was drawn to a box of women’s sleepwear and undergarments, all aged and slightly used. My thoughts were of the women and the stories behind this intimate apparel. When I began to photograph the nylon and silk garments, the lights drew my attention to the threads. Each piece began to take on a life and identity of their own, making me aware of the strength, fragility, and vulnerability that women periodically experience during their lifetimes. Invisible thread points to the sometimes unforeseen truths of individual feminine experience, and the lines that connect us to one another."
