"I'm a commercial, stock, and fine-art photographer currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For twelve years prior to this I lived and worked in New York City, and I continue to shoot there and across the country. My work has been widely published around the world, appearing in numerous advertising campaigns, magazines, annual reports, album packages, and on over 400 book covers in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America. For many years my fine-art images were shown and sold by Robin Rice Gallery in New York City. I continue to exhibit photographs in Santa Fe galleries."

Juliana Beasley
Juliana Beasley compiles images she took during her eight years as a stripper into a homage to dancers, their customers and admirers. She brilliantly peels aside the sex industry's seedy surface to show the tender, banal, profound and playful reality of trafficking in sexual fantasy.
"Dancing can be an identity fucker. I was lucky because I started dancing at 24, when I had my identity fully in place. Playing a part for 8 hours 4-6 nights a week, infiltrates every aspect of your life. I told customers that I was younger. I played the starving student or innocent little girl because you can really only play highly stereotyped roles as a stripper.
I always make comparisons between stripping and other professions because these analogies make it more accessible to people who might be curious about stripping but disinclined to take it seriously because of the stigma. I used to tell a boyfriend who didn't understand, that stripping was just being in a musical. Every night I played a stripper in a musical.
I started accepting people for who they were, then I started seeing that the customers were there for a reason and it wasn't only for sex. There was something they weren't able to access in the other parts of their lives. Truthfully, there were a lot of customers I respect and care about as people."

A ARTE LISBOA AFIRMA-SE COMO FEIRA IBÉRICA, COM A PARTICIPAÇÃO DE 67 GALERIAS, DAS QUAIS 31 SÃO ESPANHOLAS.
A próxima edição da ARTE LISBOA – Feira de Arte Contemporânea abrirá ao público a 18 de Novembro no Pavilhão 4 da FIL, no Parque das Nações,
em Lisboa, com um programa de oferta de âmbito artístico e galerístico que reforça a sua posição de referência no panorama ibérico das feiras de
arte.
A promoção internacional da feira e do mercado de arte continuam a ser os objectivos principais da ARTE LISBOA e, nesse sentido, a mais
interessante novidade desta edição é a forte participação de galerias espanholas. De um conjunto de 67 galerias, 33 são portuguesas e 31
espanholas, contando ainda com a participação de galerias da Coreia, Cuba e Hungria.
A colaboração da feira com Espanha tem tido uma intensa
continuidade, sobretudo pela sua proximidade geográfica e cultural, prefigurando-se como uma área de expansão natural do mercado de arte e do
próprio contexto artístico português. E este é sem dúvida um dos resultados positivos da renovada etapa do projecto ARTE LISBOA, que a cada
edição tem vindo a potenciar o diálogo entre Espanha e Portugal mantendo firme o seu forte compromisso e contributo para a dinamização do
mercado galerístico ibérico. Outra das grandes novidades desta edição é a presença de novas galerias que participam pela primeira vez na feira.
Cabe destacar também a sua relevância, já que se incorporam galerias de referência no panorama espanhol e internacional.

Dulce Pinzón
Dulce Pinzón was born in Mexico City in 1974. She studied Mass Media Communications at the Universidad de Las Americas in Puebla Mexico and Photography at Indiana University in Pennsylvania. In 1995 she moved to New York where she studied at The International Center of Photography.
As a young Mexican artist living in the US, Dulce soon found new inspiration for her photography in feelings of nostalgia, questions of identity, and political and cultural frustrations. In her black and white series “Viviendo en el Gabacho” (a Mexican colloquialism for living in the US) she illustrates the dualistic phenomenon of the integration of the Mexican immigrant into the New York landscape.
This concept of dualism was further developed when she used nostalgic iconograpic images from a Mexican card game projected over the naked bodies of her New York friends and loved ones in “Loteria”. “Multiracial” portrayed subjects of multiracial heritage against primary color backgrounds, exposing the frailty of our concepts of race. “The Real Story of the superheroes” comes full circle to reintroduce the Mexican immigrant in New York in a satirical documentary style featuring ordinary men and women in their work environment donning superhero garb, thus raising questions of both our definition of heroism and our ignorance of and indifference to the workforce that fuels our ever-consuming economy.
In her latest project “People I like” she does studio portraits of divas, rock stars, party goers, drama queens and artists, people that fascinate her; all of them Latinos. They are part of what she believes to be a breakthrough in the Latino cultural scene of New York City.

Mostra de Cinema de Hong Kong 28 Outubro - 1 Novembro Cinema Londres
A Zero em Comportamento apresenta, de 28 de Outubro a 1 de Novembro de 2009 no Cinema Londres, uma mostra dedicada ao cinema de Hong Kong.
A mostra tem como objectivo dar a conhecer uma selecção da melhor e mais recente cinematografia de Hong Kong. Serão exibidos sete filmes, que demonstram a diversidade e a vitalidade da produção cinematográfica contemporânea de Hong Kong.
Os filmes incluídos no programa são "Sparrow" de Johnnie To (realizador homenageado no IndieLisboa’08), o melodrama True Women for Sale de Herman Yau, o filme de acção "Tactical Unit-Comrades in Arms" de Law Wing-Cheung (sequela de "PTU" de Johnie To) e o drama adolescente "High Noon" de Heiward Mak. O programa inclui também uma homenagem ao aclamado cineasta Tsui Hark, com a exibição da sua célebre trilogia "Once Upon a Time in China".
Nos anos 80 e 90, Tsui Hark trabalhou não só como realizador mas também como argumentista, produtor e caça-talentos, tendo tornado o seu nome numa referência incontornável dos filmes de género de Hong Kong ao contribuir de forma decisiva para a renovação do cinema popular de Hong Kong através de uma série de grandes êxitos de bilheteira. A apresentação dos três filmes de Once Upon a Time in Chinaconstitui uma rara oportunidade de os espectadores portugueses poderem ver em grande ecrã toda a espectacularidade visual desta saga sobre as aventuras do lendário herói chinês Wong-Fei-hung.
